The SLR pipeline, mapped to PRISMA

~5 min

A systematic literature review is not a collection of summaries. It is a structured, critical synthesis based on a clear question, search strategy, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and an analytical framework. A good SLR shows how a body of knowledge has developed and what future research should address.

The six stages we'll work through:

  1. Question & search strategy
  2. Discovery & supplementary search
  3. Screening (the core)
  4. Data extraction
  5. Synthesis & write-up
  6. Reporting (PRISMA flow diagram)
